Founder & CEO
Ty is a Charleston, SC native and a Newberry College graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he enjoys golf and time at the gym. Ty spent 13 years at Waffle House, including 10 years as an officer, where he gained invaluable leadership experience under Joe Rogers Jr.
With 20 years of experience in environmental solutions, Ty founded Filron Solutions on a standard of excellence, building a company dedicated to helping manufacturers maximize the value of their materials while supporting sustainability goals — one facility at a time.
Chief Financial Officer
Denise has been with Filron Solutions since its founding and has played an instrumental role in the company’s growth alongside her husband, Ty. Together, they built Filron Solutions from the ground up, helping shape it into the company it is today.
As the leader of the company’s administrative and accounting operations, Denise oversees key business processes and helps ensure seamless communication and efficient day-to-day operations across the organization. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to the company’s success continue to make her an invaluable part of the Filron Solutions team.
Beyond the office, Denise enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her grandchildren at their many activities, tending to her garden, and traveling.
Business Development Manager
Brandon is a Summerville, South Carolina native and has been with Filron Solutions since 2021. He has a genuine passion for business and enjoys building relationships with customers, understanding their operations, and helping them find practical solutions to their day-to-day challenges.
Known for his customer-first approach, Brandon believes that great service starts with listening, being responsive, and earning trust. He’s always looking to learn something new, whether it’s about an industry, a manufacturing process, or a customer’s unique operation. That curiosity and commitment to continuous learning help him bring value to every conversation.
In his spare time, Brandon enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with family & friends.
Business Development Manager
Ryan Oliver has been a member of the Filron Solutions team since 2020. A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, he continues to live in his hometown of Georgetown, South Carolina. Ryan, his wife, and their two daughters enjoy the Lowcountry lifestyle, spending time exploring its beaches, rivers, and forests while staying close to family and lifelong friends.
Professionally, Ryan is dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing clients. By listening carefully and understanding each client’s unique needs, he works to deliver practical environmental solutions that support sustainability and responsible stewardship.
At Filron Solutions, Ryan embraces complex challenges and takes pride in helping clients achieve results where others may fall short. He is committed to providing honest guidance, technical expertise, and straightforward communication, helping organizations make informed decisions with confidence.
Business Development Manager
Gerry grew up in Walterboro, South Carolina, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina. With more than 30 years of experience managing environmentally sensitive industrial materials, including petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical byproducts, he brings extensive industry knowledge and expertise to the Filron Solutions team. His experience also includes overseeing large-scale environmental remediation projects.
Gerry specializes in developing innovative beneficial reuse solutions that transform underutilized materials into valuable, reusable products. By helping clients convert potential disposal costs into practical, sustainable solutions, he supports both their operational and environmental goals.
In his personal time, Gerry enjoys spending time with his family and watching football, a favorite pastime during the season.
Business Development Manager
David was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, raised outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and now calls Beaufort, South Carolina, home. He earned degrees from Fayetteville State University and the University of Phoenix.
For more than five years, David has helped organizations identify opportunities to transform underutilized materials into reusable products. He is committed to staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, enabling him to provide clients with innovative, practical solutions that support both operational goals and environmental sustainability.
In life beyond work, David enjoys spending time at the beach or on the water, hiking in the mountains, hunting, fishing, and working in his yard.
Business Development Manager
Originally from Brunswick, Georgia, HL brings more than 30 years of logistics experience to Filron Solutions. He works closely with manufacturers to identify opportunities for material reuse, helping clients reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen their sustainability initiatives.
HL is committed to providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships by delivering attentive, tailored solutions that support each client’s unique operational and environmental goals.
HL enjoys escaping to his family’s cabin in the mountains, where he spends time hiking, fishing, and relaxing in the outdoors.
Business Development Manager
Born and raised in Summerville, Nick is driven by a passion for delivering exceptional service and building meaningful, strategic partnerships with both domestic and international clients. As the youngest of four siblings, he grew up playing ice hockey alongside his brother—an experience that helped shape his competitive spirit and teamwork mindset.
Nick developed a foundation in mechanical engineering and business principles during his time at the University of South Carolina, complemented by hands-on experience working with his father in his early years. Since joining Filron Solutions, he has cultivated partnerships across a range of industries, focusing on fostering long-term relationships that enhance how business is conducted in today’s marketplace.
Known for his strong work ethic and positive attitude, Nick plays a key role in contributing to Filron’s continued success. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing golf with friends, and competing in a local recreational ice hockey league.
Executive Operations Manager
Originally from New Jersey, Krista relocated to the Lowcountry in 2016 and has since embraced the region’s coastal lifestyle.
With more than 20 years of experience in administration, finance, sales, and operations, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role as Executive Operations Manager at Filron Solutions. She provides strategic oversight of the company’s business development, logistics and administrative functions, ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations while driving organizational efficiency and continuous process improvement. Her collaborative leadership and commitment to operational excellence play a key role in supporting Filron Solutions’ continued growth and success.
Living in Charleston, Krista enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, attending live music events, and exploring the natural beauty and coastal charm of the Lowcountry.
Administrative Assistant
Since joining Filron Solutions in 2024, Janie has enjoyed serving as Administrative Assistant, supporting customer onboarding, logistics coordination, and sample management. She takes pride in helping day-to-day operations run smoothly and ensuring customers have a positive, seamless experience from start to finish.
Janie graduated from the University of South Carolina Beaufort with a degree in Biology, where she developed the detail-oriented and analytical mindset she brings to her work every day.
Based in Bluffton, Janie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, being out on the water, college football, and taking advantage of all the Lowcountry lifestyle has to offer.
Accounting Manager
Darby Murphy has been a valued member of the Filron Solutions team for the past two and a half years. As part of the administrative team, she brings extensive experience in business operations and financial management. Before joining Filron Solutions, Darby owned and operated a franchise business for nine years, where she managed the business office, oversaw accounts payable and receivable, and submitted reports to the corporate office.
Darby’s educational background includes studies in nursing and business administration, providing her with a well-rounded foundation in both customer care and business operations. She enjoys contributing to an organized, efficient workplace and supporting her team however she can.
Away from the workplace, Darby loves spending time with her daughters and granddaughter, relaxing outdoors with family and friends at the pool, on the boat, or at the beach, and taking vacations whenever she has the opportunity.
